Over fifteen years ago the Epping Police Department established a Police Exploring Post.  Police Exploring is a nationally sanctioned program for boys and girls between the ages of 14-20 who are interested in the law enforcement profession. 

After dissolving for a few years, Sergeant Richard Cote, Officer Stephen Soares and Officer Shannon Cote, worked hard at re-establishing the Post.  These officers volunteer a great deal of their personal time to mentor and train local youth in a paramilitary atmosphere.  We are proud to state that in 2009, Epping Police Exploring Post #714 was honored with the "Rookie  Post of the Year" Award from the Daniel Webster Council.
